Hello, I have been struggling with this problem for awhile and can't fix it. My speaker will not play sound.

But, when I open the config. program for it called "Multi-Channel Audio Configuration"... and go to connector sensing (where it shows headphone, line in and microphone connectors)...and hit the start button to test for anything that is connected, i hear the song that is playing in another window.

I have no idea what is wrong.

All i can think of is that another audio driver (i think*) is activated and this one (the right one) only activates when I test.

Any help???

Thanks!!

Tony

Hi,

First, check all the relevant volume controls are up and not muted.

There are several of them hiding in various places.

Failing that download the drivers HERE and see if they improve anything.

thank...yea i uped the volume in the volume conrol window. where are the other ones that could be turned down or muted..

Also, if a driver expires would the sound stop working because it happened all of a sudden for no reason.

Thanks alot!

I`m always finding volume controls on my computer, but maybe that`s just me.:haha:

The "Sounds and Audio devices" in the Control panel,is the main place,I suppose.

Uninstalling and reinstalling drivers often fixes strange issues.
