No voice only sound on DVDs and games?

OK I have upgraded my PC to a new FX 8350 and a FX 7970 ! I started battlefield 3 and all was good till I got to the part ware blackbern was being interrogated you herd the slamming and the chairs screeching not no voice. I was not happy next I put in a dvd same thing sound no voice. I up dated my drivers tried VLC and no voice I have voice in actual game play but not in cinematic as well when streaming video you tube/netflix. '-'

Do you have your audio set to 5 speaker or something?

Realtek HD Audio iv been using the same stereo for 3 years

I removed my new 7970 and replaced it with a 6870 problems sill persist. this happened when I tried finding free blue ray media player I did a system restore and nothing

I can stream with audio just fine and voice to but dvd and games not so much I think its a program
