hi im a few minutes new and only because i have this huge problem with my laptop its really getting me down!!!
it only happens when im playing games (sword of the new world right now) but my computer keeps doing BSOD.
here are a number of error files i have copied from it:

ati2cquag.dll
Ntfs.sys
PFN_LIST_CORRUPT
ati3duag.dll
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
afd.sys
XDva090.sys
ks.sys
atikvmag.dll
avg7rsw.sys
ACPI.sys
W33ND.sys
portcls.sys
ALCXWDM.sys
kmixer.sys
USBPORT.sys

I also have AVG antivirus 7.5 free edition, im adding this because i thought one of the errors might have had something to do with it but i might be wrong.

sorry if this isnt very helpful i dont know what i should be saying really but if anyone has any ideas for me to try im happy to give it a go, or if you need anymore info let me know to :)
thnx
muir

P.S this is my computer rig

Hard Drive: 185.4 GB Total
Video Card: ATI RADEON XPRESS 200M
Monitor: Default Monitor
Sound Card: Realtek AC97 Audio
Speakers/Headphones: built in speakers

Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_qfe.070227-2300)
also have service pack 3 ^

Ntfs.sys
PFN_LIST_CORRUPT
These suggest one of two hardware issues
1- Memory is failing or
2- the HD is failing

Download Memtest from the Download area and run it 4-6 times. This is the most
likely issue.

hi thanks for replying, i looked in the download area but couldnt find memtest ? i might be looking in the wrong place, could u possibly post the link to the right page for me :)
ive also started updating drivers so ill do the memtest after.

oh well :)

i had a suspicion it might be overheatin because the weather has been rather hot reasontly and it had reasontly been crashing a lot!!

so i decided to buy an amtec fan that sits underneath the laptop and keep sit cool and guess what!!!?!

no crash what so ever since i started using it.

thnx for the jobeard :)
