Notion Ink founder Rohan Shravan has posted an update on its upcoming Adam tablet. Arguably one of the most anticipated slate devices, the Adam is on track for a late 2010 release. In fact, the project is supposedly about seven days ahead of schedule and the device should reach FCC certification sooner than expected. Notion Ink also has more manpower, with 13 people joining the team over the last three weeks. Logistics aside, the company revealed small tidbits about the Adam itself.

A comic book store has been included in the software lineup, but Shravan didn't share who the provider will be. Hardware-wise, Notion Ink has added a toggle switch to power off the display while the device is running, so you can save power when you're just listening to music. This will be available on both the standard LCD and Pixel Qi models. Also on the power front, the company hinted at the possibility of a replaceable battery, but said more information would be provided in a future post.
