Num Pad to STream deck thing

Hi I have a numpad that I make into a stream deck( or deck where I can also open tabs). From scratch no problem have used HidMacros. But since the numpad is connected to the laptop via cable, it recognizes it as laptop own numpad. How can I disconnect this?
