On the eighth anniversary of Star Citizen's development, don't expect the solo campaign...

But I know where your bias lies. No point reasoning with you any further.

My 'bias' lies in not attaching my identity to a video game, let alone one that has taken hundreds of millions of dollars spanning 8 years and not even delivered a beta.

They wouldn't bother teasing a project they weren't taking somewhat seriously (that's not standard). But I know where your bias lies. No point reasoning with you any further. I said what I said in my first main comment.
What are you talking about? Many games release such trailers before actual development started. You are getting very desperate in defending SC here.

Nope. You don't make a teaser trailer for a game you aren't working on (I certainly can't think of one game that did that).
So, you're the one sounding desperate here. And unless you can prove otherwise, I'm done with this childish logic.

Ps. CDPR announced they started working on it with a 2nd team in 2012, and then teased it in 2013.

that's wrong. like it was stated multiple times, development started proper in 2016 when they also started doing the concept art and game engine upgrades after they finished working on Witcher 3.
You are really grasping at straws here trying to defend the mismanagement, feature creep and general scams that Chris Roberts is doing to keep everything afloat.

Even if the game does release in a few years (if the money doesn't run out), the cost of keeping such a game online and updating it will be too much to make it profitable unless they see crazy player numbers or whales keep paying for 10000$ ships. I just don't see how they can make it work.
