OnlyFans will ban sexually-explicit conduct starting in October

I've seen this a couple of times.

To clarify, your definition of moral and @RedBlu 's are far more reasonable and sensible and I have no doubts most people, including myself, would agree that they indeed have no moral.

However, if you try to view it from their perspective, they actually do: It's just a very different set of moral values that comes from the Christian Fundamentalist right wing and if you consider that's the morality of the lobbying groups that are pushing bankers to go to war against porn, but would continue to take money from Saudi Arabia while they enact genocide on Yemen.

That's kind of what I mean when I talk about banks obeying morality, not yours or mine, but the contradictory and hypocritical morals of a very powerful and influencial group of people that really wants to make porn disappear from the public mind and keep it in the fringes of the internet at best if not gone altogether, certainly not something widespread available and popular with regular people out in the open like what was the potential with Onlyfans.
Capitalism sucks huh
I wouldn't have it any other way

Echoing numerous sentiment stated above. Banks have no morals. BofA for example has no issue combing through your transactions to make sure you are a well behaved citizen.

But, this isn't a morality issue. Someone didn't grease the right palm.

No pun intended (well mostly).

Called it.

Also calling it now: it won't stop at *just* "sexuality explicit content" eventually they'll also forbid any kind of nudity and any kind of provocative content.

The point is just to deny sex workers of any legitimacy, it's a defacto criminalization by major financial institutions that just want to keep sex workers oppressed, in the dark and vulnerable for no good reason whatsoever other than puritanical views from crusty old white billionaires.

Calling them "sex" workers isn't going to make them any more legitimate. Big corporations aren't keeping sex workers in the dark nor repressing them. That's their pimps and the people who work them. Sorry if you think protecting people from oppression and abuse is puritanical.

I agree that the banks are following someone's morals but not their own. The pressure that they're caving to is because they think it will bring them financial gain. I don't believe that the banks are doing this because they actually care one way or the other. Banks are corporations and corporations are the business entity equivalent of a psychopath. If they thought that it would be more financially advantageous to ignore the loopy right-wingnuts, they would. Everything that a private corporation does, especially banks, is about money and nothing else.

Keep in mind that it often is the case that when a corporation makes a large donation to charity, they spend more than they donated on advertising the fact that they made the donation.

The conservative evangelical religious-right has almost zero political and/or economic sway in most of the developed world (the USA notwithstanding). If, for example, OnlyFans switched to a bank in Sweden, none of this would be an issue. Their short-sighted desire to be based in the USA is half of the reason that they're having this problem. Someone in a country where this ISN'T an issue will pick-up where OnlyFans left off. OnlyFans will end up being thought of in the same way that people think of MySpace.

Isn't onlyfans the porn version of twitter?
I thought that was SnapChat.

I see what you pretended to not do there!

In my defense, I registered last week because techspot keeps promoting it and it just happened that I had a 0 balanced prepaid credit card and found 4 porn actresses offering 30-day free trail. the onlyfans' searching really sucks
I did collect come useful information from my onlyfans undercover operation. Most free videos are less than 10 sec. with a subscription. Basically, pay per clip, assuming paid videos are good.
onlyfans suspended the banning;it was a breaking news style promotion.

You don't need a defence, I was just clowning around. What's most likely to occur is that OnlyFans videos will shift over to something like Clips4Sale. Either way, the genie's out of the bottle and there's no way to put it back in.
