Overclocking Software

Usually, they are settings they learn from the moterboard manual, or the website of the motherboard manufacturer.
 
I'm not sure what you mean. Are you talking about CPU overclocking? there is some software out there, but it's always better when done from the BIOS.

GPU overclocking, lots of tools.
Rivatuner,Atitools, coolbits, ntune just to name a few.

Then there is the benchmarking software. A lot of screenies are posted from this software. It is to show 'how good' your pc is. Usually 3dmark01,03,06, pcmark05, or some other program. Then there are programs like orthos, prime95 and that sort of software. I'm not sure what program you're referring to, but it's probably in the list. :)
