Partition Merging urgent help!

Hi guys,

I have a 200gb SATA HDD with xp pro installed in a 10gb partition and all my software installed in the remaining 180 gb. With all the automatic updates i am now running out of disk space on my c: (10gb part) so I want to know if there is a way to merge the 2 partitions into one without affecting any programs in d: (180gb Part). Please help me out here.

there is a package called gparted that will allow you to repartition XP systems.

what you'll probably have to do is repartition your big disk to be smaller, move the partition to the end of the disk and then stretch your c: disk up to 40 or 50gb.

it will take ages to do it but you should get what you want.

you'll need a blank cd and a cd burner to make the bootable gparted disk though...
