PC Crashes with no apparent reason

The facts are this:

- I went to a LAN party, and when we were going to play a game, my pc freezes without reason.
- Since then...at any random time, the pc freezes with no reason and I have to reboot.

What I tried to do:

- Scan with Avast!
- Scan with Spyware Doctor & Spybot Search and Destroy
- Scan with Ad-Aware SE Professional
- Uninstall some stuff
- Clean registries

Then I checked event viewer and I get this error (dunno if this is important, cause i´ve seen it lot of times before and hasnt troubled me ever)...

* The device, \Device\CdRom0, has a bad block.

(even though I have not had problems with it)

I hope someone can help me, its beginning to be VERY annoying.

And please, no "Format your PC", "Call a technician" or "Buy new hardware", none is factible now...

We don't need to see proof, we'll take your word for it. Go here: https://www.techspot.com/vb/topic51365.html and read through, follow the links and do what Howard says. If that stuff doesn't work then follow the instructions there on how to zip up some minidumps and attach them to this thread and we will take it from there!! Likely to be a memory problem but we can't be sure without the minidumps.
