PC will not boot from XP Boot disk

I have an eMachines 370 and have been having loads of issues with it.

Decided to load the Ghost Image from Restore CD provided when I bought it.

Unfortunately CD 2 of 2 was cirrupted and the Ghost Image only loaded to 60%.

WIndows will not load up at all. Comes up with message NDLTR missing.

Tried to boot from An XP bootable CD which comes up with the Scanning Hardware configuation message, but won't do anything else

Please help!!!

could be a problem with your cd drive reading the cds.

could also be that the ghost attempt has corrupted the hard drive so xp setup cant load.

Assuming you have no data on your computer, the first thing to do would be to boot from floppy/or put your hard drive in another machine and format it.

then try the xp cd again and see if it works, if not you need to check the cd, if that is ok, then you really need to try another cd drive.

With regards to your problem, it does sound like there may be a problem with your cd drive, also you will need to run a windows repair installation to fix the NDLTR file
