PC won't boot, motherboard flashing

I got a new computer, and I wanted to add my hard drive from my original PC to my new one, as a slave or whatever. But when I hooked it all up, the computer wouldn't boot, and now the motherboard is flashing/beeping near the SATA ports. It's a continuous flash/beep, one every second. I'd really appreciate help as to how to fix this. I'd rather just transfer the data from the old hard drive to the new, as long as I get the PC to boot.

Continuously beeping usually is the memory or the video card problem. Did you check all the cables/RAM/video card to make sure they are securely plugged in?
