my sons pc wont boot up windows xp it gets halfway through and then goes back to very brggining/ any ideas cheers

With regards to your problem, we will need more information than this if you can give it, but it sounds like something may be wrong with windows or some other software. For example, what windows version are you using, were there any hardware or software changes before this started happening, and does it go on the screen with the loading bar to a black screen and show the POST information (that screen with a list of hard drives, your installed memory and cpu etc) and start over again, or does the loading bar screen finish then it restarts?
You may as well have said "my pc won't work, what's wrong with it"
