  1. I've trawled high and low to find if my motherboard is pci express compliant, according to the packard bell website, it's a 2.2 pci system. No mention of pci express is on the page. just wondering if anyone knows if it wil work in my system?

    the board is a GA-K8VM

    any help appreciated.
    cheers all!

The short answer is no, it doesn't have a PCI-Express slot.

the GA-K8VM board in a packard bell system (from the packard bell website)indicates that it has an 8X AGP slot for graphics cards.

a PCI express slot is physically different from a PCI slot, so there is no way to update a board to be "PCI-e compliant", it either has a PCI-e slot or it doesn't, and your system doesn't.
