PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Graphics Performance Revisited: 44 GPUs Tested

You are right, Fortnite's Battle Royale is indeed really well done :D

Except that its netcode at least used to be nearly as bad as PUBG's. Same game engine, both use AWS servers, both have under 20 Hz server send rate...

The Fortnite dev team has apparently done a better job optimizing the game, so it would be interesting to see a performance comparison between these two games.

It's an r5 1600 @ 4ghz. I know the 8700k is faster, but I've never heard CPU makes a difference when it comes to Vram issues.
I can suppose you have HDD or SATA SSD while Steven uses some NVMe SSD like Samsung 960Pro. In such case the most weak chain in your system is the storage drive that slowes the system on Ultra settings.

You need to hit some optimization guides I normally run 100-130fps on my 1060-3gb with AA/Textures/View Distance on Ultra and everything else on Low.
On what resolution? The Vram clearly chokes on Ultra textures at 1080p, there is no way it's playable. I don't doubt your fps, but the Vram issue will create some serious spikes.

1920 x 1080 @60hz - yes there's some yo-yo'ing at it's worst I'll drop down to 80fps briefly which will stagger game play but it's not as bad with the newest 1.0 updates.

Two of the best things you can do to add ftps is:

Disable steam overlay
- Go into your steam library
- Right clic on PUBG
- Properties
- Uncheck " Enable steam overlay "

Override dpi scaling behavior + Disable Fullscreen optimisation
- go to Program Files (x86)\ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ PUBG \ TslGame \ Binaries \ Win64
- Right clic on Tslgame
- Properties
- Compatibility
- check " override dpi scaling behavior " and select application in the drop down menu.
- check " disable fullscreen optimisation "
- Apply the changes

For the NVvidia settings:

- Right clic anywhere in your desktop
- Open Nvidia Control Panel
- go to " manage 3D application settings "
- Select " Program settings "
- find Tslgame.exe or add it
- Put these values

Anti-aliasing - FXAA : Off
Anti-aliasing - Gamma correction : On
Anti-aliasing - Mode : Application controlled
Power managament mode : max performance
Texture filtering - Anisotropic sample optimization : Enabled
Texture filtering - quality : High performances
Texture filtering -trilinear optimisation : Enabled
Threaded optimisation : Enabled
Vertical sync : Disabled
Maximum pre rendered frames : 1

It's amazing how much of the Internet is run by rabidly anti-gun Liberals. Yet, they love their gun violence in games.

Would be nice to re-test it, since there were many performance improvements in the game and graphics drivers updates.

I believe they recently tried this, well with the new cards and couldn't get into the servers. Which has been a issue for some and the OC server seems to be abandoned.

I play on the NA server and have no issue with loading in. None my friends have a issue either. Ive heard of people saying they do but is it the actually the game or on there end, software conflict or something?
I don't think anyone really knows since I haven't heard of Pubg saying anything about the servers lately.

Well, I would like to see the updated charts.

One can use a VPN and connect to a server. No need to play online, just replay a recorded game.

Im sure it will happen. The 2070 hasn't released yet, Oct. 17th, so it will get tested and Pubg is getting auto matchmaking by region very soon so it will likely help the server problems, hopefully.
