Hello. I have a Hewlett Packard PSC 1200 series printer attached to computer #1 and want to share it with computer #2. How do I find the url of the printer so it can be shared? Both computers have Windows XP.Thanks

You will have to read up on this. You establish a network with My Network Places, then with the printer attached to one computer, the other should be able to "see" it in networks places.
If not, you will have to buy a print server device from HP.
You are better off using a much better printer that comes with an ethernet socket.

aah...but are you on a cat5 based network or just pc's linked together?
If on a cat5 network, then yes you can buy an appropriate print server.
But like raybay said, by browsing over to the pc with the printer (as long as sharing is setup) you can highlight the printer and click 'connect'. This will install a local driver on your 2nd pc. But it can only print to that printer if pc 1is switched on.

I think i pretty much just reiterated what raybay said....sorry! :)

edit: some folks will do anything to get their 200th post
