Privacy Protection

Ok, first of all... Hi, I'm new at this forum, and looking forward to probably learn some more through this forum.

Now, my problem.

Somehow, I managed to download something the other day, and it totally screwed up my computer.

My desktop background changes into red, with a sort of Nuclear sign thingy with some text saying "Download Privacy Protection ..........." I also get three new desktop-icons, one of them with the name Privacy Protection, I think the other is something like Error Removal. Not sure on the last one. But in total, there's three icons.

And obviously, this has gotta be some sort of ****** spyware. It's really annoying, and I need help to remove this. I've scanned my computer with Norton, Ad-Aware, tried to delete it myself, and still I can't remove it.

I get alot of pop-ups saying my computer is at risk, etc. and no matter what I do, it opens a window in Interet Explorer, sometimes it directs me to "Ucleaner". As I have understod, Ucleaner is some really nasty stuff.

Thank you =)

EDIT: Figured out that the contaminated file is called msmdev.dll
but I also believe that I should remove two more files, called msmhost.dll and nsduo.dlll

But I can't delete them, since I get "No access" to it...

I need help, seriously.

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

Your system is infected with malware.

Very Important: Before deciding whether you should clean or reformat your system, go and read this thread HERE and decide what it is you want to do.

If after reading the above, you wish to clean your system, do the following.

Go and read the Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions. Follow all the instructions exactly.

Post fresh HJT, AVG Antispyware and Combofix logs as attachments into this thread, only after doing the above.

Also, let me know the results of the Panda Antirootkit scan.
