Problem with Windows 7 reading thumb drive

has anyone encountered problems with windows 7 reading a thumb drive and is there a solution to this problem

You'll get better answers from others if you could elaborate your problem. What error message are you getting? Are you encounter the same problem w/ other flash drives?

Is this with a Desktop or a Laptop??

Also, have you checked Disk Management? I've found sometimes that when attaching a drive it connects and goes "offline" and all you need to do is right click and select to put online.
