Problems with Skype

Not sure if any of you guys could help but am having intermittent problems signing on to Skype, some days it will sign on sometimes not and sometimes when it does sign on it shows as being offline.
I have reloaded Skype, turned off Norton, reset passwords, I can happily logon with another pc, internet is working fine through my virgin cable connection.

Yep, its the latest version, for some reason it was working fine yesterday but came to go on this morning and its back to not working. Yesterday just went to logon as usual and much to my surprise it went straight online, weird.
