RAM upgrade

I have an IBM Aptiva E Series 270 with an AMD K-6 2/400 that has two RAM slots. Each currently has 128MB RAM sticks. Can this board handled 256MB RAM sticks?

I take it you don't still have the manual or box that came with the Motherboard (or you were never given it)?

I'm pretty sure that 128 sticks are the max on these boards but they're pretty old so my memory isn't at it's best. For memory the absolute max on the 270s is total 256meg.
