Heres the issue I have just got a webcam 5.2mpix with built in mic plugged into a SB 5in1 card on OS XP and have set it up when I un-mute the Microphone in the SB control panel and put the record level over 3-4 bars I get major feedback. When I leave it lower You can hardly hear the playback which seems scratchy if you get my meaning. how can I sort this issue and what is the problem?
I have not used the cam with MSN yet so don't know if there is a problem with anyone hearing me that way I dont have any MSN contacts for that.
Also when the cam is unplugged and the mic function in SB panel is left unchecked ie functional I get a rustling wind type sound which gets louder from time to time
I am learning to play guitar and need to record stuff i'm playing to have it analyzed etc and hope to video conference.
Ideas please....
