Reddit bans subreddit accused of spreading Covid-19 disinformation after refusing to take...

I think that's enough off topic politics. Back on topic please. Thank you.

Always fun to pick and choose...
Indeed... Which is exactly what the mainstream media is doing... I will be telling a few stories, with articles and tweets only, and sometimes a few questions. You decide what to do with it.

Was it true when they said over the counter drugs can cure Covid?
https://www.forbes.com/sites/judyst...ze-winning-drug-ivermectin-may-fight-malaria/

Why is a medicine that people got a Nobel Prize for, suddenly being portrayed as a treatment for animals?

Was it true that masks did nothing and shouldn't be worn?

Was it true that Covid was no worse than the flu?
https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/2018-2019.html

Was it true that you were better off catching it and waiting for herd immunity?
"A new study from Israel suggests immunity gained after recovering from a bout of COVID-19 is more protective against the new Delta variant than vaccine-induced immunity. Natural immunity was estimated to be about 13 times stronger than having two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine."

The answer to all of THOSE was a resounding NO!!
I beg to differ.

Instead of spouting nonsense that may or may not be true, maybe give some evidence... misinformation is anything that hasn't been verified (no, someone's blog doesn't count).

During a pandemic, spouting misinformation like "don't wear a mask" or "you can cure Covid with Ivermectin" simply makes more people catch the disease...
The media and their phonies have been making things up as they go since the beginning of the pandemic.

I would pay money to watch a compilation of conspiracy theorists being forced to take the vaccine.
This is yet another post from you that I simply cannot understand. You are somehow against powerful institutions yet at the same time propagate stuff like this.

As every media out there... Banning information, especially in times of uncertainty, is borderline criminal, simply because the discourse is important.
As for Reddit, I will simply say that I don't know enough of how the things went down, to give a proper opinion on it.

I think that's enough off topic politics. Back on topic please. Thank you.
Sorry, saw your message too late.

A conspiracy theorist would see this as confirmation that their theories are right..

This doesn’t help anything and just sets a bad precedent, Reddit is now a censored platform. Today it’s covid misinformation but what will be censored next? They won’t always get it right.
They're already 100% certain they are right. I don't care if they think they are now 110% "right"; they're still de-wormer salesmen, taking advantage of fearful people.

I would say our mainstream media outlets are doing the same thing. Just the other day Sky news did a piece on a child with covid, speculating with pretty much no scientific backing that it could mean the virus is mutating to target younger people in the future.

The problem is doctors or censors won’t always get it right. Remember doctors once recommended that people smoked cigarettes;
