I recently bought an HP Deskjet 6980 and connected it to my computer at home via USB. I remote desktop from my home computer into my computer at the office and would like to print on my home printer. I had no problems doing this with my old printer.
The new printer does not show up during my remote session. Here are the things I have tried:
I'm out of ideas now. Can anyone help? Has anyone else run into this problem? Thanks in advance.

- I checked that "Printers" is checked under "Local Resources"
- I installed the drivers for my printer on my office computer.
- I searched for this problem and found this on the microsoft site : Printers That Use Ports That Do Not Begin With COM, LPT, or USB Are Not Redirected in a Remote Desktop or Terminal Services Session, and followed the instructions.
I'm out of ideas now. Can anyone help? Has anyone else run into this problem? Thanks in advance.
