Remote Desktop stopped working!?

Hi

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I had been running remote desktop from this PC before into my PC at uni and it was working fine. Now however now it comes up saying
"The specified remote compuetr could not be found. Verify that you have typed the correct computer name or IP address, and then try connecting again."
I have checked these and they are what they should be. I am also VPN ing into the Uni network without a problem. I know the connection works as it works fine, over my wireless connection at home, from my laptop.


Any ideas as this is very frustrating.

uni admin may help on this they could have blocked the ports

I've checked that and that's not the case. It seems to be something on my own system. Any other ideas? It's really getting on my nerves!

you can VPN to the site but not use Remote PC? gota be different IP address
as this error says you don't have a route OR the domain-name can not be resolved
(which could be caused by a timeout on the dns request).

try using the IP-address instead of the domain-name.
first PING IP-address (which must work)
then try NSLOOKUP domain-name
