  1. I don't know if I should post in this forum?? But here it goes......

Hello everyone, I had to re-install Windows XP Home yesterday, because of hard drive failure. My problem is that when I installed the XP sp2, I downloaded a couple of programs (freeware) and now I have a search toolbar in my IE 6. Don't know which program that it was. Now it has taken over my homepage, and I tried to do a add/remove program and it is not there. I had this problem before and I had to create a new user account for myself. I don't want to create another account. I can change the homepage to what I want, but when I close the IE window and open it again it is changed back to the search page again. I am very frusrated and desparately need help for this matter.

    Thanks for your help.

p.s. My hard drive lost all info, was going to do a back-up yesterday, but lost the drive. I managed to recover the drive, but no info. Now I had recovered three other hard drives that were in other computers that were canablized. (4) drives in one computer. More Storage YEA!!!!!!
