Resolution and Font Questions

My resolution changes from 32 bit to 8 bit on restart. I am tired of going into display and manually changing it. How do I fix this?

My fonts have suddenly become dim and unclear when online. How do I fix this?

Your help is greatly appreciated!!!

It sounds to me like your video card driver is having problems. And since it wants to disply at 32bit, and can't it goes into its default mode which is 8bit. What kind of card are you using? Do you have any other problems anywhere else on the system?

My video card is: All-In-Wonder Radeon 8500 DV

Another problem is: I cannot install anything from my CD/DVD ROM
