Resolution problems with Radeon HD 4870 11.1 drivers

Ever since I updated my drivers to 11.1, released yesterday, i've been having trouble in games with my resolution. I can only open RIFT (which is why I updated them, it requested it) in window mode or Directx3D fails. In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 I cant change my resolution from ___x480. In Heroes of Newerth it simply lists no options in the resolution drop down bar. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
