save time in dos

I wish someone had told me this years ago. when you're trying to do anything that requires long filepaths in DOS(cmd) if you get it wrong once and just need to change a letter or a word, when the prompt comes up just press the UP arrow key and presto! You can even cycle through recent commands. Maybe this is already widespread knowledge, but if I had known this 5 years ago I , well, I would've saved myself oodles of time. puke:
 
It is a feature of the Windows 2000/XP "cmd" environment. It does not work in real DOS (command.com).
 
Yes, and your only editing option is the backspace key :D Better just retype right away :p
