sims 2 help plz

recently bought the Sims 2 and I'm having trouble opening up the program...
It comes up with this message: "Failed to fnd any Direct X9.0c compatible graphics adapters in this system! Please Make sure you have a Direct X 9.0c compatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest drivers provided by the manufacturer. The application will now terminate."

After I got that error, I downloaded Direct X9.0c and it still comes up with that message. So I guessed that I'd have to update my drivers. How can I find out what kind of drivers I have?

What computer do you have and is the graphics built in or on a card????

Get pc wizard 2006 from here - http://www.cpuid.com/pcwizard.php - and that will give you a lot more information about your pc!!!!

You have find out your drivers by going to Start menu > Run > dxdiag

also go to this website and see if your system is good enough to run Sims
