I'm sensing a false dichotomy here that a gamer is either a "casual gamer" or a "multiplayer gamer". There is a huge market for single player games that are far from casual, and a game not being perpetually connected is s good thing. In fact, quite a few potentially excellent games have been ruined by publishers insisting they be packaged "as a service", seeking constant "engagement" like a needy ex.Casual gamers are phone gamers and handhelds, they don't have game chairs, or one of the new game consoles or play Call of Duty...
They save their games, because they play single player arcade games. They don't even need the internet to play...
