Sound icon missing taskbar

I have sounds and I can play music.
through control panel I can access sound mixer.
In customize the show sound on/off dropdown is gray.

In capture2.jpg, it shows the sound icon in the pop-up window. Click and drag it back down to the task bar.

That isn't the Windows sound icon.
That's Realtek HD Audio manager - the program, wich comes with my audio drivers.
