Sound no go

Gday i have a sony vaio vgn-fs18gp and have had to reinstall windows xp... due to moving i have lost the disks that came with it...
i have found the drivers for everything, although the vaio site was little to no help.... when i try to install the sound deivers i get an error message saying the pci bus drivers need to be loaded... what does this mean

ya the pci bus driver might need to be updated and depending on the sound card for example i have a creative 5:1 uber sound card u might need the proper firmware try a different update from the manufacturer after checking if u need to update the pci bus or the motherboard
