Star Wars KOTR 2 problem with latest graphic driver

Ive installed Kotor 2 again on my windows xp pc, but this time i have installed the latest graphics driver which is ATI Radeon X300/X550/X1050 Series, and basically when i start the game, the graphic models dont show up for example, if i start a new game the character models of male rogue male soldier etc all dont show up along with the the bad guy on the menu screen or kreia. If i reload an actual level the pixels dont show up its alll black with slight flashes of polygons, theres still sound and everything, but this is really frustrating. Im not sure whether this graphics chipset is too good for the game, or i need to install and older graphics card. Could you please give me any advice u have and the steps to correct the problem thanks.

cant at least someone reply? at least tell me how to install a lesser graphics card so i can run this damn game!!! lol

This statement does not make sense to me. ATI Radeon X300/X550/X1050 are a series of graphics cards not graphics drivers. What catalyst driver version did you install?

That could be the problem. Catalyst version 10.2 does NOT support your card. You have to go back to Catalyst version 9.3.

last question, do i need to uninstall my previous catalyst suite thing? or my ATI display driver or something, before i install the 9.3 version or will it just overwrite it? i have the windows .net 2.0 3.0 etc just so you know.

Yes, you have to uninstall the existing Catalyst driver first. Do so through Add or Remove Programs.
