I just built a new rig, everything is set up accordingly and everything is running very smoothly.
I recently tried Counter Strike Source on it to see how it runs, everything ran extremely well just like I expected except for one thing. When I try to talk to my peers, they hear alot of cracking and static. Immediately I closed the game and went right to MS Sound Recorder to see if I can hear myself and the noises, but nothing, it was clear as it could get. Confused, I went back to the game and went to the game's integrated Voice Tester or whatever you call it, and in here I could hear the gross noises and static. My sound works fine, the headset works fine and the cables aren't split or anything. What can I do to help this? Is it driver related?
Rig:
OS: Windows XP Pro x64 SP2
CPU: Intel e8500 3.16ghz
RAM: Crucial Ballistix 4GB DDR2 800
Video: PNY nVidia 9600GT Verto
PS: Rosewill Stallion 600W Series
