My computer has just been cleaned by Broni, so it's free of malware and such.
Last week, I suspected an infestation because:
- my wifi card stopped working properly all of a sudden (very very low signal... impossible to connect to wi-fi, with a wi-fi working great for all other devices (phones, other computers, etc.))
-my sound card seemed to have an issue too: when I plug my headphones, I hear through one ear only. Headphones have been tested on other devices and they work fine.
Both problems appeared at the same time and both problems seemed to follow the installation of some software that came with tons of bundleware and such. As stated before, the computer is certified clean, now.
I have attempted updating the drivers and enabling / disabling the drivers to no avail.
I bought an USB wifi adapter in the meantime to access internet and it works great.
I have a Toshiba Satellite S50-B (PSPQ6C-020001) with windows 8.1 64-bit.
Any idea what might be happening?
