i have just built a computer and has everything besides the hard drive and my motherboard has no onboard video. usually when i put together a computer i plug in the monitor to the onboard vga. but now that i only have a dual dvi pci-e graphics card with a lcd monitor with a dvi and vga (with a dvi adapter) connector the system does not read the monitor. i know the monitor works because i have connected it to a laptop and works fine. how can i get the monitor to work?? also, if this helps, when i turn on the system i get the code 7F on the mobo's onboard led. i also do not know what that means. "check post error and display them and ask for user intervention"

There is often a board pin or switch needed to switch to DVI. Take a close look at your motherboard manual or bios manual for clues.
