System P35 for dv editing & camera raw

Hi to everybody!
I am new to this site & thanks for welcoming me as a new member by techspot community.
I am from Pune, India.Photography is my hobby.

Now comming to the point...I am looking to upgrade my current ddr-1 pc. i am interested in dv editing & ps-digital nef editing files & will not upgrade for atleast next 4-5 years.
After reading our various community threads, i am still confused about which to select p35 /965 / am2 as mobo....thought about few components but would like to get some expert opinion from u ppl.
1.processor: C2d E6750
2.Mobo:.......Abit IP35-E
3.HDD:.........Seagate sata 2 250gb((16mb)x2.
4.GPU:.........Sapphire ati HD2600XT
5.RAM:.........Transcend 800MhZ 1 GB x2
6.PSU:..........CM Extreame 600W
7.PCTV tuner: Pinnacle100i
8.UPS:...........apc 650va
9.cpu cooler
10.cabinet
At present i have LG 700s crt, IEEE1394 firewire pci card, umax astra 4400 scanner and os win xp sp2 regd.lic.copy with me.
As per universal abit web site, mobo compability article confused me about gpu & memory. So kindly suggest configuration.

P35, and Core2 are the way to go at the moment.

If you do a lot of editing etc, a Quad core may be better.
