task bar disappears in vista.

just out if no where the start task bar will just go away. it looks like it does that auto-hide thing but it isn't set to do that. when you look at the very bottom of the screen you can just see the top of it but no matter what i do it wont come back up.

Well if no matter what you do it can't come back then we can't help.

First thing I'd do is try to grab it and pull it back up, like you can normally do. If that didn't work I'd try to right click on what is left of it and make sure it is unlocked and try again. After that I'd probably quickly try to grab it and throw it to either side of the screen and see if it comes back there. If that still didn't work I'd go to Properties on it and change something in there and hit apply, if it came back then I'd change whatever back to the way I had it and hit ok. If all of those fail I'd reboot.

If it still didn't work after reboot, then I'd do some google searching for the problem, and if that didn't work then I'd post here.
