task manager

when I run taskmgr.exe or hit Ctrl+ALt+Del Task manager opens up, but it won't unminimize. I see it on my taskbar, but can't unminize. The only way to close a program that is acting up is to logout then it come up with the message. Can anyone help me

Run your protection programs:
Spybot
AdAware
and your anti-virus programs...
There are a few nasties out in the wild that will cause this.
If no change then post back as it might require a registry edit.
