The disk structure corrupted and unreadable

  1. hi there,
    I don't know where i suppose to write this but i hope i'm writing at the right place.
    i've a external 2.5" SATA hardisk. now it is showing me a message:
    F:\ is not accessible. the Disk structure corrupted and unreadable.

    i hope someone can help me.. the information inside is important to me..

    Have you tried accessing this external drive on another computer?

    This addresses your problem though your mileage may vary (no guarantee that you'll succeed).

    If that doesn't work, I recommend a recovery program called Zero Assumption Recovery. I've salvaged drives with trashed MFTs, corrupted unrepairable MBRs, etc. Unfortunately it is not free, but cheap enough to be worth a try if your data really is that important.
