The stupidity and ignorance of people never ceases to amaze! Next up, the "Russian Roulette Challenge" - great idea!

Personally I am amazed that TikTok even allows these video's to be posted. You can be sure that if Congress ever gets off it's backside and allows these companies to be held liable they will pull and prohibit this sort of content in a heartbeat.

I am still perplexed after all of the data that has been presented on the malevolent actors behind TikTok that it is still not banned in the U.S.

That woman sued McDonald's because they served her literally boiling hot coffee With a lid that was not secured that caused third degree burns on her thighs and genitals that required skin grafts, not just because there was some hot coffee that spilled.

Or just be some ***** chuckle f*ck that makes assumptions.

Bet you would do the same if you ended up with boiling coffee blistering the skin off your c0ck, wouldn't you?
She should sue god for making water hot when it's boiled.

Thic Thot should be banned long time ago. Remember even Chinese people cannot get on Western version of Thic Thot.

The CCP in China, who "made" Tic-Tock have to be laughing on how easy it is to get people to do stupid stuff.

“We shouldn’t want some other country’s tech influencing us. In China, the way the algorithm works is that it doesn’t reward people doing stupid dances and playing with their dog. The algorithm rewards things they want to see their youth do: cool engineering, cool science… but in America, it rewards twerking, stupid dances, and things that are truly worthless to society.”

Nyquil tastes horribly. Why the heck would you wanna use it beside any other reason than treating cold?

At least for the US. Sue happy mother f'ers around here.

"I didn't know it was bad for me." Or "There was no warning on the label and now my kid is dead!"

Anyone remember the stupid woman that burned herself after spilling coffee on her from McDonald's?
She had the cup between her knees while removing the lid to add cream and sugar when the cup tipped over and spilled the entire contents on her lap.

Dumb women spilled coffee on her by her own actions and she wins a lawsuit. This country is sue happy, like EU is fine happy against businesses.
You should research the McDonald's coffee suit. There's a lot more to it than just spilling coffee on yourself. The coffee they served was uncharacteristically hot, 180-190F. The woman received second and third degree burns and had to be hospitalizes. McDonalds even conceded that just drinking the coffee when served at that temperature could cause burns on the mouth and throat. I think when you get food or drink from a restaurant there is a reasonable expectation that it will not cause harm to your body, even if you accidentally spill it.

Again, as I posted to another person that commented earlier, I have read it. Thank you for skipping all the other posts.

Coffees are usually served hot. Lukewarm coffees are...meh.

Some cups already come with "Caution Very Hot" warning printed on them.

Anyway, who in their right mind would want to open the cup the way she did?

It's sad to hear she won the lawsuit. People shouldn't be rewarded for their dumb mistakes.
Hot is one thing. Hot enough to cause injury is a different thing. McDonald's was shown to be serving coffee at least 20F higher than other coffee shops in that town. McDonald's also conceded that at the 180-190F temp if you drank the coffee right when served you could burn your mouth and throat.

As I understand it, she was pulling back the little lid on top to add sugar and/or creamer. I'm pretty sure that's the default way to do that unless the lid doesn't have that feature (eg Starbucks coffee).

Those cups have that warning precisely because of this lawsuit. It was also shown in the trial that McDonald's had over 700 previous complaints and had paid out over 1/2 million dollars in settlements. They knew what they were doing and they knew it was problematic.

Imagine you're in a restaurant and they place a plate on your table, say "enjoy" and walk away. Then, as you slide the plate closer, you get third degree burns because the plate is scalding hot? Would you sue or just chalk it up to being a *******? Now you know why they tell you the plate is hot.

Go pour boiling hot liquid all over your genitals and report back.

Sure, np. Ill do like most sane adults and not juggle lava hor coffee with my crotch, ill use a cup holder instead. Somehow out of 500,000+ miles driven and plenty of spills on myself ive always seemed to manage not to pour scalding liquids on my body. Pull over to juggle dangerous items, simple enough. Heck I carry around a loaded gun all the time and have managed to avoid blowing hole in any body parts of mine either.

You may not know this but the car she was in didn’t have cup holders. And she was a passenger, in a stopped car. The lid came off when she lifted the tab to put in creamer. So, there were multiple failures here. McD had numerous previous incidents and knew the coffee temps were too high and the employee did not secure the lid.

Also McD was found to only be 80% responsible so she did have to accept some of the blame. McD could have settled for about $20k (medical expense) but they chose to go to court and ultimately paid a princely sum.
