What you run into most of all at this site, is people who rewrite history to their own choosing and convenience. I'm guessing if I had mentioned to Holocaust, if it was to your convenience, that wouldn't have happened either.Hiroshima was most likely firebombed, as well as Nagasaki. Just like Tokyo, Dresden, and hundreds of other cities. The world didn't "witness" anything. The media was silenced under pain of death on both sides, here and in Japan, on the topic for many years. The photo evidence is chock full of holes. And that's before we even get to the physics, which are almost laughable. Of course, you won't believe this coming from a polemic opponent, but we have no evidence that nuclear weapons actually exist.
I'm here for you as well. You're the one that referenced Star Trek 3 as the source the concept of terraforming, not me. You're the one who's evidently only read one sci-fi novel (we have no evidence you've read any others) and somehow thinks that qualifies you for... Whatever you're rambling about. I mean BNW is okay, if you're like eleven. Asimov was much better when I was a child.
And then we get to your prod about anybody needing to be able to change the weather at all before we can approach a planetary climate. I would tend to agree with you, but you use it as a dodge, an ad hom attack. Followed by, "then we can talk." We already are talking, buddy. We're talking about terraforming - something you self-professedly know nothing about along with weather, or you would know that weather isn't climate. You don't even know what heat is. I can say this with full confidence because almost nobody does anyway, and if you haven't researched the topic and read Mathis's papers on it, you cannot know what heat actually is.
I wasn't begging anyone to look at my sources. I was offering Mosu some further information and it had nothing to do with you, as should have been obvious since I addressed that person in my post. Please add, "internet etiquette" to your list of Things to Learn, along with literacy and tact. If you have no desire to learn about these topics, then that's perfectly fine by me. It's precisely because I enjoy learning about these things that I'm so easily able to trounce you in this conversation. You're unarmed.
Like I said before, we could have really done without hurricane Sandy. Why couldn't you and all these big thinkers have done something to avert that? While you're at it, go price a tank of medical oxygen. I think oxygen is produced here on earth "the easy way", via electrolysis. (Which requires water, IIRC). Oh wait, Elon Musk says we could just, "nuke Mars polar cap for the water". But then, you're saying "nuclear weapons may not exist", so I guess that rules out that fantasy. Oh wait, it should be easier to create and control an atmosphere on another planet, than to dissipate one little hurricane here on earth? You spend too much time reading Sci-Fi
BTW, I haven't even begun an "ad hominem" attack on you. You're too sensitive..
So, if all you've got is Sci-Fi writers' vivid imaginary predictions of "what is possible", along with conspiracy theories about "nuclear weapons not existing", you haven't really got much of anything, have you? While we're at at it, let's go "all in", and say the moon landings never happened either. Which leaves us with no way to blow up Mars' polar caps, and no way to get there.,
Now toddle along.and don't try talking down to me any more.
