When I went around to installing Trend Micro Internet Security Pro, it said that it had to uninstall a few programs...Those that which include AVG Free Anti-Virus, and I think it was Search and Destroy. Can anyone tell me why? And if its safe to reinstall those programs after installation

Any time you have two security software systems running like anti-virus or firewall they will cause driver conflicts that will cause your system to crash.
The rule of thumb is: one anti-virus, one firewall, and some say one antispyware.
Thus in order to run Trend-Micro you must completely uninstall AVG; you should not reinstall afterwards or your system will problems.
I would also uninstall S&D but I believe you should be able to reinstall it after Trend Micro is configured, but I am not 100% sure.
