Yeah but some of us have had over 20 years of experience playing games, and I have had about 13 years of playing FPS games

Ah, the days of Doom... I miss them. Good ol' 9600bps. I attempted it on my 2400bps modem once way back in the day. ROFL.

That's right - I've been playing FPS games since the original Wolfenstein 3D - then I went through the Doom series and Rise of the Triad . Did Duke Nukem and kicked some serious butt before moving to the Quake series. I was at the unveiling of Unreal at the E3 and have owned all of the unreal series since. I also played a bunch of the FPS wannabees (the fps games I didn't mention earlier) so I'd have to call myself a seasoned FPS player BTW - won a few small tournies in Quake II and III, UT, and UT2k3... nothing big though.

PS - no matter how old I get I will make sure I'm better than the average kid at most any video game. Just think of seeing an old fart at the arcade taunting the young guys and dancing around like a fool - that'll be me

Ohh, I remember Rise Of the Triad (or ROTT as it shortcut as named)... that was a big thing, I'd go over to a friends house and we'd play it for hours when I was in like what - 3rd grade

Duke Nukem was another awesome one, but I couldnt play Quake1 cuz my PC wasnt good enough, so I just stuck to Duke for awhile.

BTW LNC, good thing Im not the average kid huh.

The original Tribes was a breakout of sorts. It's what first got me into that genre`. I really loved the open spaces of the maps and the different things it allowed you to do.....at least until the "script-kiddies" took over.

Oh yeah - and I ranked top 10 on thecpl for tribes 1 also - how could I forget? Tribes was my game! I was a clan leader for the AYBABTU tribe in Tribes 2 - but the game sucked so bad I couldn't stick around.

I'm actually looking forward to the release of Tribes Vengeance to see if it'll take off. It's what originally got our group.....Atari Secret Society...off the ground.

My buddy also ranked #1 out of over 80,000 shifter players on Tribes 1. People thought we were cheating when we played together. People would even drop out and observe us - while telling everyone where we were, but that didn't matter - just brought all the lamb to the slaughter for us

Ahhh, Shifter.....our mod of choice. Hard to beat. I've never ranked (or cared to check) high, but I had a helluva good time playing it. What was your handle?
