Ubuntu to use Yahoo as default search engine

  1. Rick Spencer of Canonical -- the company behind Ubuntu Linux -- has announced a new agreement with Yahoo that will change the default search engine of the popular open source operating system. Complete terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but Firefox will reportedly be configured to Yahoo upon installation.

    hmm; Thankfully the choice of browser, homepage and default search engine is totally configurable by the user. As most of us have rather strong feelings on all three of these, imo, " So What ".

    now if only yahoo still wanted to use Yahoo search (instead of bing). i still like yahoo's results better than bing, oh well, i guess it is what it is i suppose.
