Hi Folks,
I really appreciate any help I can get with this. I have an old Dell XPS Studio 7100 that I use for graphic design work. I want to upgrade to a 4K monitor but the current GPU isn't suitable.
I've been reading a thread here about upgrading the GPU. The user found a Geforce GTX 650 ti that installed nicely. As far as I can tell it's not compatible with 4K monitors, so I found the Geforce GTX 750 ti.
Can anyone tell me if this will work? (thanks so much). (y)
Specs for the Dell XPS 7100 are as follows:
CPU: Studio XPS 7100
Memory: AMD Phenom II X6 1055T (2.8GHz - 3.3GHz)
Graphics: 6GB DDR3 1333MHz (4 DIMMs)
Storage: ATI Radeon HD 5870 w/ 1GB GDDR5
Optical: Seagate 1.5TB 7200RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s
Aftermarket PSU: Corsair VS650 650W ATX Power Supply
Windows 7 Home Premium x64
