Upgraded video cards but no noticeable performance gain!

For BlackOps you can probably max out AF/AA settings for an improvement to image quality but you might not see an improvement in FPS, to be honest at 90-100fps I don't see why you'd want more. It's quite possible that you are getting the max that the graphics engine of the game outputs.

I'd try other games or run some benchmarks to make sure your cards are giving the performance they should be.

EDIT : Just noticed this on a site for Black Ops Tweaks
Edit the "C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\call of duty black ops\players\config_mp.cfg" file and change/add
seta com_maxfps "125"
Or whatever value you want....

That might be set to 100 as default and be what is limiting your fps.

Also noticed 'seta r_multiGpu "0"', don't know if blackOps will update this setting itself or it is just set on initial install. Something else to check out.

I suppose this would have been the conclusion of this thread.

Setting the FPS in the config file allowed me to finally overcome that limit... It's clean that it allowed more for other games.. but Black Ops just didnt seem to want to go any higher. Not that it is noticeable...
