Upgrading Asus K50IN processor

Hello. So I have Asus K50IN laptop with
Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T6500 : 2.1 GHz, FSB 800Hz, 2M L2 Cache.
Which is this: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-Core-2-Duo-T6500-Notebook-Processor.34899.0.html

I dont know if this is right but "CPUID CPU-Z" says:
chipset: NVIDIA ID0A83
Southbridge: NVIDIA nForce 730i

I am currently looking for a processor that I could upgrade to.
Is it possible to upgrade my laptop to this: Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T9900 : 3.06 GHz, FSB 1066Hz, 6M Cache
Which is this: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-Core-2-Duo-T9900-Notebook-Processor.23802.0.html

I found this T9900 on ebay but is says: "for intel mobile 45 Chipset etc use ONLY"
I also found different processors but they all say for intel mobile 45/55/65/75/76/77 etc.
So do I need to look for processors that are compatible with NVIDIA ID0A83 ? or would the T9900 work as it is?
Any suggestions or help on this would be nice. Thanks. I also uploaded my "cpu-z" screens just incase you need more info.

The "for Intel mobile 45 chipset only..." notification is so that a potential buyer is aware that just because the CPU is Intel and socket is Intel doesn't mean the CPU is automatically compatible.

Notebook CPU upgrades are largely a hit-and-miss affair. In addition to the chipset and socket compatibility, you have to deal with a custom BIOS particular to the machine. You might want to check out >>this K50IN CPU upgrade thread<< Both the 9700 and 9900 are 1066MHz FSB (QDR), so theoretically there is little between them. Before swapping out make sure that the BIOS is updated (see the link in the last post in the thread).

Good luck.

Thanks that link helped alot! After reading the link you gave me I will probably buy the T9900. If anyone else has any suggestions it would be nice to read them.

No r47uk. Sadly I didn't change my processor as I wrote the same question to the seller just to make sure if it is compatible and he told me its probably not, however he gave me a small list of other CPU's that are compatible but the the highest one was like 2.4GHz (don't remember the names of CPU's this was almost a year ago.) so I don't think its worth making the upgrade for .3GHz wouldn't really feel a difference.
