Upgrading to SP2

I had (still got kinda) Windows Home Edition. Am attempting to upgrade to SP2 Pro. Had a problem with vobid.sys intefering with installing. Eliminated same but now the installation freezes at 32 minutes left. Tried to reboot Home but the screen goes back to installing. Wished I woulda left well enough alone. Have done this b4 with no problems. Any suggestions.

!! XP/Home sp2 is not XP/Pro sp2 !!

Yes you should update to SP2.
