The usb ports on computer will not recognise storage devices . when installed it says found new hardware, new hardware ready then malifuntioned usb device. printers work on usb ports and I have gone as far as a complete recovery.
after reading someone else fix for the similar problem i turned of computer & upluged it. took battery out and waited a minute. put back in and restarted. fixed after 9 hours and 3 hours on line with hp.
